Vivid Dreams

I’ve had the most vivid dreams the last few nights. That’s a little unusual for me. I don’t normally wake up with memories of my dreams but I have the last two mornings. They’ve been strange dreams. There was fishing, and vampires. I distinctly remember that. While I am borderline obsessive when it comes to matters of the undead, I do not as a rule fish. So I can’t really explain that one. I’m sure my subconscious is busy chewing away on something, I just wish it would be a bit more obvious about the subject. At least they haven’t been unpleasant dreams. That’s always a plus.

Vampires and fish indicate a deep psychological and physiological need to suck on something, and fish in are of course known as “the fruit of the sea.”
I suggest Jamba Juice’s Sunrise Strawberry.

From my fave dream website ~ dreammoods.com:
To dream that you are fishing, indicates that you are confronting and bringing your repressed emotions to the surface.
To see a vampire in your dream, symbolizes seduction and sensuality, as well as fear and death. The vampire represents contrasting images of civilized nobility and aggression/ferocity. It may depict someone in your waking life whose charm may ultimately prove harmful. Deep down inside you know that this person is bad for you, yet you are still drawn to it. Vampires also sometimes relate to decisions about sex and losing your virginity. Alternatively, to see a vampire suggests that you are feeling physically or emotionally drained. The vampire may also be symbolic for someone who is addicted to drugs or someone in an obsessive relationship.
To dream that you are a vampire, signifies that you are sucking in the life energy of others for your own selfish benefit.
Were you fighting the vampires? There’s a different interpretation for fighting…

Oh no Shephard, I will not be tricked into joining the Jamba Juice cult *that* easily! Besides, Baskin Robbins is much closer and I can just as easily suck on a Peanut Butter and Chocolate shake!
Sorry M, but it’s a little late to be worrying about my virginity… although it *has* been a while, can one become a “born again” virgin?! Maybe I should be worrying about it!
That is so interesting that you write this, Michael. I’ve gone through a series of very vivid dreams over the past few weeks. The last one I had was about a vampire. The vampire actually bit me and was a weatherperson. Wonder what that extra twist means?
C’mon- you’ve got to join that Jamba Juice cult!
I just looked up fish in my dream book and it says “Freud (oh brother, you know this is going to be messed up)held that small fish represented the male semen (don’t say I didn’t warn ya) Medium sized fish logically enough were children, Fishing poles were a symbol of the phallus. (go figure) Other dreams about fishing may resolve (I would have said revolve, but what do I know?) around seeking provisions for your needs in life, desiring to find something that seems “below the surface” or looking for primordial insticts if Darwinism is your worldview of choice. To dream of fish may simply be a dream of nourishment or lack thereof. It may also point to a sense of travel.
Vampires escaped mention in this particular book, which suprises me, I’m sure Freud would have had a FIELD DAY with THAT!
My other dream book didn’t say anything any more intresting about fish, but had this to say about Vampires:
A mythical creature associated with bloodsucking and erotic behaviour. To see yourself as a vampire, suggests that you lust for power or position or physical prowess. It might also be a symbolic image related to the male-female relationship in which one partner drains the power of the other for his or her own psychic survival. Once bitten, the victim submits even though the person will eventually lose all of his or her power. Is something draining you of energy? Is someone taking advantage of you? The message is to guard against people who take too much of your time and energy. To dream of battling or staking a vampire suggests a positive outcome versus someone with harmful intentions.
Wow..aren’t you glad now that you posted about this..you have several different interpretations to go with now. LOL

I will give you my Native American view. If you saw the fish in your dream, then a fish in clear water expresses freedom related with your feelings. If you were actually fishing, then this expresses your own energy and an earnest desire for freedom.
Native American lore does not include vampires, however in my ancestry, the Cherokee, believed there are old witches and wizards, unseen to us, who consume the livers of the dead. To put my grandfather’s most probable take on the vampire symbolism, he would tell you to go get a check-up, specifically liver & kidneys.
I think this calls for a Jamba Juice!
I think you should have a Jamba Juice too but you should get a Pink Star. They are not on the menu but ALL Jamba Juice places know how to make it! It is like a pink starburst!
Love you!
Wow the Jamba Junkies never miss a chance to draw a connection to Jamba at any turn, do they?! You guys have one track minds!!!
Get thee behind me Jamba Juice-ites!
Thanks for all of the interpretations, the dreams continue… it’s very odd as I can’t recall a time when I had dreams this strong for such a long period of time.
Last night I had an extensive dream about attending an event with a friend (I can’t tell you who though, never saw their face) and returning to find my car vandalized to the point it needed a body shop. I remember distinctly that they had flattened two tires and *stolen* the spare and jack. When I got it back from the body shop, they had neglected to install the rear-view mirror on the passenger side. Strange!
Ok, that’s a weird one. I dreamt about the FD last nite. And Killeen John.
What are you eating before you go to bed?
M~
LOL!
Oh…now I have to ask for a Pink Star…..
