People seldom believe me when I tell them this, but I really, *really* have a strong anti-social streak. Generally, individual people are ok. And certainly, once I’ve gotten to know someone a little I become more comfortable with them. But people in large numbers, or strangers? They freak me out. It’s why I can never run for office, I would wreak havoc on the faceless masses.
The grocery store is the worst. I put it off until there’s not a scrap of food in the house to eat if I can. “Hey lady, maybe stopping your cart sideways in the aisle while you chew gum and contemplate which of the many varieties of soup you will purchase isn’t the way to go!” Why is it so hard to move your cart to the side so people can get around you? And what is up with parking your cart in line and then going back out to pick up more stuff? In or out people, not both!
That’s why I try to shop late at night. Fewer people, less obstacles. I should really go back to ordering groceries for delivery, but it requires planning in advance and I try to avoid that at all costs.

At grocery stores I often feel like I am on a defensive driving course for carts. People, in general, are just rude. Or maybe they had just forgotten to eat their bowl of Frosted Flakes in the morning??
It’s going to be crazy now that it’s right before Thanksgiving. I haven’t shopped yet…yes, I am procrastinating.
Plus me and my brother are in disagreement over the Thanksgiving menu.

“It’s why I can never run for office, I would wreak havoc on the faceless masses.”
That sentence got me spewing water…
I totally understand. I never used to be uneasy in crowds until recent years.

Late at night, that’s a great idea. I should try it. Never, ever, under any circumstances should you go on a Saturday morning. Starvation is a better option.
People are too wrapped up in themselves to be considerate enough to move their cart out of the way.

If you stopped by my blog, you know I made eggrolls today. That meant going to the Asian Market this momrning. I rate that slightly above visiting the dentist. It is always packed and the people all seem oblivious of everyone except themselves.

I don’t know how I missed this post, but I just got back from the commissary, and all I can say is “Dude! Don’t get me started!”
If I wasn’t married, I’d soooooo do the groceries by order thingy, but DH would *NEVER* go for that!
