As you can see… hopefully… work is underway on the new blog template. I dived in up to my elbows and have taken most of the site offline while I work behind the scenes. You can at least get an idea of the general style and color scheme I’m working on already. Overall, my goal is to simplify things greatly. The old template was a technical masterpiece but I think it was hard to navigate around and I know that it was a lot of work maintaining it for me. I want to get “back to basics” with the new design.
While I’ve been working, I’ve also been pondering what I really want to *do* with the blog. I’ll still focus on music and photography since I enjoy those things personally. What I’m curious about it what kinds of posts do you enjoy reading when you visit? What brings you back to my blog? I’m really interested in hearing your input, because I plan to go through and weed out some of the older posts and what I keep and throw away will be based on what readers like. It will also help guide future posts. I’d be very grateful if you’d comment, in detail if you like, about what kind of posts you find interesting.
Of course, I love seeing your photography and reading about the trips and outings that you take.

I like the new look too….and I’ve always loved your photography. I also always liked your movie reviews too.
Oh, me likey very much! I agree with Stacy & Lisa, but I also love your funny memes you do, as well as the introspective posts you do. I like learning more about you & sometimes it’s easier to do behind a computer screen than it is to do in real life, from what I’ve found out about blogland.

Well, I discovered that IE6 doesn’t like the new template much at all. But it seems to work fine in Firefox and IE7 so I think I’m going to leave it alone. You should see a random Flickr image and the jukebox in the right-hand column. Can everyone else see and use that?
Works great for me. Love the new colors and the look. Thanks for getting rid of the Xmas tunes. I’m sick of them. Happy 2008.
I like the variety. When I come visiting, I never know what I’m going to find. Your photography is great, and your writung is good. Can’t say as I would suggest leaving anything out.

I come to your blog because I enjoy your take on the world and life. Often, you remind me to relax a bit, and to roll with things by your example.
Also, when I read that you’re a bit out of sorts, I relate and, well, feel more able to embrace the unpleasant parts as normalcy (we all deal with it).
I feel the same way about the other blogs I read in this respect.
I like the music posts, the photos of Seattle and in general, your pensive posts and your dry humor.
I love the color of this background, and the art nouveau skull.
