Keeping It Simple

I’m not going with any “resolutions” this year… I’ll just feel guilty when I don’t keep them. Instead I’m just going to keep it relaxed and easy-going. I’ve noticed several other bloggers doing the same by setting a few low stress goals. I like that approach. In that spirit, here are a few things I plan to focus on this year.

I already mentioned Project 365. I think it will help my photography a great deal having to come up with an interesting shot every day. If nothing else, it will spur creative thinking and I can always use more of that. If anyone else wants to step up to this challenge, I’d be happy to help spur you on! ;-)

Attending more concerts this year would be fantastic. 2007 wasn’t bad in that regard but I’d like to see even more bands and comedians this year. Music and laughter are two things you can never overdose on. The more the merrier in my opinion.

A trend that started in 2007 that I want to keep going this year is a focus on simple pleasures. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in money, possessions and even people as a source of happiness. Last year proved to me that enjoying life requires none of the above. Some of my most memorable moments of 2007 had nothing to do with fancy new toys or expensive trips.

Ok, that’s three goals to keep in mind for 2008. I think I can live with that!

I’ve been meaning to ask you… are you going to see Lord of the Dance in February??

I couldn’t agree more with you on “keeping it simple”. I think I’ll be following the same mantra, for sure.

I too have been thinking about the project 365… sounds interesting (and hard)

Keep it simple is an idea I can live with…
