The Saga Continues

January 11th, 2008  | Categories: Life Happens

This has been a long strange week health-wise. It started out last weekend with a kidney stone that I thought passed. Something passed, trust me you can tell. Then it was flu-like symptoms. Then the pain returned, as if the kidney stone was still around. Then the pain went away, and came back, and went away, and came back. Throw in an occasional bout of nausea mixed in with hours feeling perfectly fine. Very odd. Very confusing!

If things don’t improve by next week I’ll probably call the doc and make an appointment. Not my favorite thing in the world so I hope things improve over the weekend. The nice thing is that it’s not debilitating like normal kidney stone pain, which makes me think maybe something else is going on. I still worked all week, went to a screening and got out a little bit. Just a little less energy, sleeping a little more and trying to take it easy when I can. Some of it could be stress related too I guess.

Ah well, things could be a lot worse… so I guess I’m not going to complain too loudly!

Hmm…mystery symptoms. Yeah, I wouldn’t let it go on too long….and you probably should rest whenever you can.

Hope you feel better soon! :)

If it IS a stone, I hope everything “comes out all right.”

The entertainment value of passing a kidney stone iw WAY over rated.

My gosh, Mike. That is beyond strange! Perhaps you did get the flu along with your kidney stone… that SUCKS! I hope you are feeling better before next week.

A friend of mine passed 4 kidney stones in one week recently - perhaps you did pass one but there’s still another one to come? Yikes, my condolences, my friend said it was the WORST.THING.EVER.

Yikes! I’m a few days late and a dollar short, but I hope you are feeling much better by now! If not, I hope you get a Dr. Appointment quickly so you don’t have to wait around to get treated. Take care of yourself!

This does not sound good. I’ve never had one, but I’ve heard the horror stories. I hope you’re better soon.

I hope you are feeling better. I was at the hospital with my husband Mike last night as he is a chronic kidney stone maker. Has them all the time. We couldn’t get his pain under control so we ended up in emergency. Has multiple stones in both kidneys. I sure hope that 2008 gets better for you from here on in.
