The Plague
I may be on my death bed… ok, probably not but I sure feel like it lately. It’s been flu, kidney stones and now the cold from hell. I pretty much lost my voice off and on the last week or so and I’ve had a near constant headache and sinus drip. I’ve beat back the symptoms temporarily with Theraflu but they keep coming back. I even had to beg off having the kids over this weekend, which I hate doing. I’m trying to force myself to rest and hydrate, figuring that will kick it in the end. I’m not even spending much time at the computer, so that’s why I haven’t been posting or visiting or Facebooking much lately. Hopefully things will turn around soon.

Wow, whatever this is, it’s holding on. I hope the rest this weekend knocks it out.
Good Lord, Mike. Have you been to the doctor, or are you trying to self-medicate exclusively?

No doctors… I try to avoid them at all costs. If it were *one* thing lasting this long I’d go in, but it’s been a string of *different* things. I hesitate to say I’m feeling better today, but I am. I’m still taking it easy though, I think that was my mistake earlier this week. As soon as I started feeling better I jumped right back into the swing of things.
You poor thing. Hope you feel better real soon.
Yep, you definitely need some ‘cancer juice’
Seriously though Mike, I do hope you feel better soon. I was at my Dr a couple of days ago and she said some nasty stuff has been going around, and it’s lasting upwards of 3 weeks or more…ICK!

Somehow my family has been spared this season’s illness. It really does seem to want to hang on in those I know who have gotten sick, though. Hope you feel better soon. It’s a good idea to stay down and rest.
Thanks for all the well-wishes, I appreciate it! I pretty much have relaxed all weekend and it has helped a lot. That and lots of water and juice and soup I think. I even broke out the crock pot and whipped up a batch of beef stew today.
Sounds like you’re doing the right thing, Mike. Keep knocking away at it with Emergen-C and Zinc and stew or chicken soup or whatever you can throw at it. Take it easy. Sending you good thoughts.

My wife had what she referred to as “the creeping crud”. In December our doctor was laying odds I’d have it inside of 3 weeks. Hate to disappoint him I didn’t. Now half my team at work has it.
