Staying Productive…
I’ve actually been productive lately. I’ve got a new project at work that is interesting for a change, that’s keeping my days busier than normal. And I’m really looking forward to warm weather and the opportunity to get away for a few days on the motorcycle. To that end I’ve been busy in my spare time with projects on the bike. Installing new luggage racks, wiring up a new GPS, and hopefully this coming week finish up rewiring my video camera system to include the capability to recharge the video recorder while underway (and incidentally, charge battery packs for my DSLR as well if needed.)
I managed short rides both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a little motorcycle meet in honor of a rider from out-of-town who was visiting Seattle. Eighteen of us got together for Thai food at a great little restaurant. Then today I went for a a brief ride just to get out of the house for a bit. Wasn’t gone long, it was too cold and windy and threatening rain but I still had fun.
I think my next big project will be non-bike related. I really feel an urge to reorganize my home library and weed out a few books while I’m at it. I don’t really have an accurate count of how many books I own, but it must be several hundreds on multiple bookshelves. I need to free up space for more books!

You have been productive. I, on the other hand, feel like I’ve been busy doing lots of nothing. I guess it happens that way sometimes. I’m glad you were able to get out and ride, if even for a while. Maybe spring is just around the corner?
I’ve heard soldiers overseas love swapping books. Perhaps you would consider donating them to the USO or another group that donates to the military?
If you want, I would be willing to pay for postage for you to send them to me… just a thought.

Sounds like a productive weekend, alright.
We used to have about that many books, but we purged a bit. The numbers are already encroaching again. lol

The other day I was telling my mom I needed to gather up all the books that have lived their time with me and share them with others. An avid reader herself, she had the nerve to tell me - a bookstore employee!! - that she never buys books and can’t see the purpose in it. She is a library hound (as I am, too), but my, telling a bookstore employee you don’t buy books is like a slap in the face!
I need a couple months off from said bookstore job to read all the books I’ve bought and borrowed, though!
