Privacy of the Mind

It was a sleepy kind of Saturday. Gray, cold, wet. The kind of day that reminds you that you live in Seattle. I spent most of it in front of the computer. Like that’s unusual. Not. I did however spend most of the day playing around with the new version of Movie Maker that ships with Windows Vista. It’s not bad, so far it’s the only compelling reason I’ve found to use Vista. Faster, smoother, able to handle more complex videos. I explored it’s limitations by editing together a couple of DVD-quality music videos featuring footage from two of my favorite aviation-related movies.

This first video features footage from the IMAX documentary “Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag.” The music is a song called “Into the Fire” by Thirteen Senses.

The second video uses footage from a French film called “Les Chevaliers Du Ciel” or “Knights of the Sky.” The music here is “Spitfire” by The Prodigy.
