Contrasts…
I had to drive into Seattle today to cover a movie screening for another writer who was out of town. An early screening for a change, 4pm press-only showing. Those are nice. Not crowded, out early.
When I pulled out of the parking garage the sun had come out and the world was warm and bright. I had to pull out my sunglasses for a change. I took advantage of the opportunity to roll open the sunroof and crank up the stereo. It was a nice interlude.
As I tooled south out of the city, I could see gray clouds hovering not too far away, dark tendrils of rain trailing down to the ground. The further south I traveled the colder and nastier it got. By the time I was nearing home I had to close the sunroof and put away the sunglasses.
I guess life is like that sometimes…

PS: I’m still not happy with this blog, watch for changes in the next few weeks.

More changes? I hope I can see them!

Sure wish I was savvy enough to change my blog without screwing it up permanently!
What you wrote perfectly described the day here yesterday. Sunny while I drove into work and while I toiled away. Stepped out to head to the mini when I got off shift, drove five minutes in glorious sun and grand plans of working outdoors. Then it opened up and poured for the rest of the night.
I love this song, btw…
Life really is kind of like that, isn’t it? I think that’s OK though. All sun and we’d never appreciate it. But man, I love the sight of the dark clouds rolling in over the water. Wish I would have had my camera with me.
I have to tell you that I love the header font- it’s stylized without being hard to read.
I’ve always really loved your cool font too. What don’t you like about things, I’m curious?
I’ll mostly be “refining” the existing design, not radically overhauling it. I also plan to upgrade to Wordpress 2.5 as part of the change.
Most of my dissatisfaction is based on the content rather than the appearance.
I just wish Spring would finally get here. It feels like this is the third month of February, already.
Life is certainly that way for me too. Dull and seemingly insignificant at times….and then the sun comes out and amazing moments happen.
I love your style of writing by the way. You have a real talent.
BTW, the header font is called “Luna Bar” and is available from dafont.com
I remember those tendrils.
