What a beautiful weekend in Seattle! The weather was fantastic. Warm. Sunny. For a couple of days we got a real taste of Summer weather. Of course, the forecast is for cloudy and cooler this week. That’s Seattle too.
The kids were over Friday and Saturday. We didn’t really do anything amazing, just relaxed and hung out. We fired up the grill on Saturday and I bbq’d steaks and made tater tots. Then Matt and I made Lindsey watch Napoleon Dynamite because of the connection to tater tots. She didn’t get it.
Sunday I dropped the kids off and then hooked up with a couple of other reviewers to catch a press-only screening of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I liked it. It might be just a little too long and a little over-the-top in a few scenes, but by and large it’s a vintage Indiana Jones adventure flick. I confess enjoyed seeing Harrison Ford wearing the fedora again.
So, how was your weekend?

Ok, I have attempted to watch Napoleon Dynamite twice. Both times I fell asleep out of boredom. Is there a point to that movie?!
Ohhh I can’t WAIT to see Indianan Jones!!! And I’m dying to hear your thoughts on the new Sex and the City movie!

Oh I can’t wait to see the new Indiana Jones flick either! I told The PK that if we don’t go shortly after it opens, I’m taking half a day off and going to a matinee all by myself!!! I LOVE that series!
Did someone say tater tots? Love ‘em.
And I never made it thru Napoleon D. either.

The little previews I’ve been reading about the new Indy film touch on what you’re saying. It’s too long, it’s a mess, but wow, yeah! Indy’s back.
The start of the theme and that fedora…I don’t care what kind of mess it is, I’m so there!

Let’s hope the last couple of days are the beginning of something good. I actually had a day off, but there was so much to do that I didn’t get much time to relax.
Can’t wait for the new Indiana Jones movie. Maybe on my next day off.

Oh, I’m glad to hear it’s good. Looking forward to it!
I think over-the-top would be expected, as they have a lot of movies to try to top/compete with.

I love Napoleon, I’ve probably seen it 20 times. It just gets better every time. “Gimme your TOTS!”
