I Need A Pre-Vacation

May 27th, 2008  | Categories: Life Happens

Where did my three-day weekend go? Why didn’t I accomplish more? How are you supposed to know the answers to these questions?!

My bike is laying around the car port (bike port?) in pieces but at least the oil is changed and the air filter cleaned. I just need to button it up and wipe it down tomorrow to be ready to roll. Oh, and pack. And fit the luggage. And pick up blank video tapes. And… it goes on. I should have taken this whole week off to get ready for my California trip. Too late now!

I don’t even have tonight free. I have to go to the big screening for Sex In The City. I don’t even watch it. I’m sure some of you love it and can’t wait to see the movie. Trust me, if there’s sex going on in the city I’m not involved. It’s not just a screening either. They’ve having some kind of big live event attached to it so it runs even later than normal. I doubt that sex is involved. Maybe free popcorn.

Cyndi, take me away!

I think that sex should be involved. Now that would be a big gala. I don’t really care about the movie, but I know lots of women that are excited about it.

I get what you mean about a pre-vacation vacation. I’m heading out west again at the end of this week. Could you order up some nice weather for my trip and your bike trip? :-)

I’d actually rather have the free popcorn.

I haven’t watched the show either, as you know.
So I’ll be more interested in your opinion of the movie.

I wish I knew where those 3 days went.

I’m not a watcher of those women either. I actually get really annoyed by Sarah Jessica Parker….so, needless to say I don’t care if there is SEX in the city, or the suburbs, or down the street at the 7-11. But, I still love to read your critiques!

Me? I’m one of those women who has been waiting patiently for this movie to be released, and has plans Friday night to have a girls’ night out with some friends for dinner and a showing. I can’t wait! I’m also trying to stay away from any pre-release reviews that may spoil it!

I had grand plans for my three days off. Such grand, grand plans.

The result? I did squat. Nice.

    I’d take a vacation, though!

It’s after 11, I’m finally home from Sex In The City… sadly, no sex (for me at least) involved. I won’t spill any beans on the movie but I will say that based on the audience reaction, if you’re a fan of the series you’ll probably love the movie as it seems to wrap up the entire story nicely. If however, you’re not a fan already this probably isn’t going to convert you. Be aware that it’s long. Very, very long.

I used to watch it, but when it ended, I was done with Carrie and her boy problems. I doubt I’ll see the movie, but if it’s good, please let us know!
