What is your ideal age?
Good question. I’m not sure what I would call my ideal age. I guess that means I’m long past it and have forgotten or I haven’t gotten there yet. Take your pick!
What is your best excuse for being late?
I’m rarely late. I always try to leave plenty of time when I have to be somewhere because I don’t like the stress of running behind. That said, around Seattle it’s normally that traffic that holds things up!
If you had to give yourself a nickname what would it be?
I actually have a nickname, it’s Vladimir. That’s the name many of my motorcycling compatriots know me by.

Vlad the Paler?
(lol… that’s a sun/Seattle joke)
I hate being late. I leave early-early. And then wait, collect my thoughts, take in the surroundings, fill time.

As in Vlad the impaler…awesome.
I’m often late and don’t make excuses, people take it much better when you just say, “Sorry, guess I should have left the house earlier.”
Interesting answers :). Like you, I don’t like to be late, especially if going somewhere new - I like to get my bearings. Happy Monday!
Sadly, Shephard’s take on “Vlad the Paler” is far more accurate!
here in the philippines, no matter how early you are sometimes you will be caught up in traffic jam. especially now that its school time.
have a great week. hope you could visit me here!
thanks!
I am so obsessed about not being late that I am always, always painfully early. And if I need to be somewhere unfamiliar, I scout out the route a few days prior. This nearly borders on a problem!
I love your answer to #1, it made me laugh.
Traffic, oh wow, the traffic.
I’m always early… drives me bananas to be late!
There are so many guys here named Vladimir ~ from the Balkan countries. I see their names & remember your nickname!

Love your #1…gave me a chuckle! So, just how did Vladimir come into being? Very cool nickname!
You a big fan of Vlad the Impaler? Is that how you got the nickname? I LOVE watching documentaries about him…you know he was very much feared but also very much loved by his people, right? He was fiercly protective of them as a whole.
And I HATE being late. Here at work, I arrive no later than 45 minutes early (I know that’s a bit much…but it gives me time to blog). Anywhere else, I like to be at LEAST 15 minutes early (although much like your Seattle traffic, Central Florida traffic can almost make that IMPOSSIBLE to do!)
Ok, the origin of “Vladimir” for me is actually much more obscure! It’s actually based on a character from the Dune books, Vladimir Harkonnen, the head of House Harkonnen. I started using the first name as my online name when playing online multiplayer games and then on the motorcycling boards I hang out on. Ultimately I started meeting gamers and riders “in real life” and the nickname is often easier to remember than everyone’s real name.
