Shamelessly stolen from Sandra
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
Hmm, there are several but I’m going to go with The Fifth Element for this one.
2. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.
Easy one, I just recently saw Iron Man twice!
3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie. John Cusack, Katherine Heigl and Nicolas Cage just to name three off the top of my head
4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Eddie Murphy
5. Name a movie that you can and do quote from.
I use “I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that” from 2001: A Space Odyssey all the time!
6. Name a movie musical that you know all of the lyrics to all of the songs.I guess I’m going to have to go with Grease here because I’ve seen it plenty of times, though I can’t say I know ALL of the lyrics. I do know quite a few though!
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with. Have I mentioned that I don’t really sing out loud all that often? Yeah… not a good thing.
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.
Hmm, tastes in movies are such an individual thing it’s rare that I recommend a film without reservations. I did highly recommend both Iron Man and The Forbidden Kingdom in my reviews though.
9. Name a movie that you own. Hah! I wouldn’t know where to begin. I have a rather large collection of DVDs. I have a stack several feet high I haven’t even watched yet! Here’s one that I really liked I bet you’ve never heard off… The Jack Bull.
10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting skills. Justin Timberlake really surprised me in Alpha Dog.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
I think the last movie I can remember seeing at a drive in was Blue Thunder.
12. Ever made out in a movie?
Probably, but it’s been so long I don’t remember the details. Sad. Very sad.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t yet got around to it. The Ice Harvest… I just plain haven’t gotten around to it. I should just buy a copy so I’ll at least have it available!
14. Ever walked out of a movie?
No, but as a reviewer I can tell you that have been several that I really wanted to walk out on! That would be unprofessional however, so I don’t
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
Men don’t cry. No really! (and if you believe that…)
16. Popcorn?
No, Reeses Pieces
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
Weekly, sometimes several times in a week, reviewer, etc.
18. What’s the last movie you saw in the theater?
War, Inc. saw it Tuesday night, it will go into limited release this coming Friday and hopefully do well enough that it will expand though it’s politics will likely make that tough. Still the best satire I’ve seen in years.
19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Horror and SciFi/Fantasy though I’ll watch just about anything
20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
That would be Benji!
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
Norbit… oh my was that movie baaaad. I still use it as a gold standard to measure other movies against. “Well, at least it wasn’t as bad as Norbit!”
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Southland Tales… just picked up the DVD too!
23. What is the scariest movie you’ve seen?
You know, I watch so many horror films that it’s hard to say. I remember being seriously freaked out after seeing Children of the Corn in the theater way back when though! My ex-wife and I saw it when we were dating in high school!
24. What is the funniest movie you’ve seen?
Lately, War Inc. Seriously funny movie as long as you’re not still under the delusion that the war in Iraq was about terrorism, was justified by intelligence, or is in any sense “winnable” in the traditional sense of the word.
Update: My review of War, Inc. is now available. I can’t wait to see this film again!

Funny you mention Children of the Corn.. it was on TV last night. I watched part of it, but it’s just too creepy.

Everytime I am in a video store, I pause in front of Alpha Dogs and want to rent it, but we usually have too many DVDs by then. One of these days. Until then, it’s on my list, along with The Ice Harvest.

My son is going to see Iron Man tomorrow and I’m so jealous that I’m not going with him!
I think a Benji movie was one of the first movies I recall seeing in a theater. I’m sure it made me cry.
