After winding our way north from Walla Walla, WA the kids and I are now tucked into a comfortable motel room with a view of Grand Coulee Dam. We’re hiding in the air conditioning to avoid the Eastern Washington heat at the moment. In a while we’ll go forage for dinner and then at 10pm we’ll watch the laser show at the dam.
We’ve driven all over the place this weekend, and here we sit… Matt is playing on his Sony PSP, Lindsey is playing on her Nintendo DS and I’m logged into the ‘net on my Macbook. Why did we leave home again?! We did have a good day on the road. Matt and I both got quite a few good photos and the weather has just been perfect all weekend.
Tomorrow we head back across Highway 2 for home, stopping for more photos here and there along the way. Hope you had a great weekend too!

What a great shot! Glad you had a good weekend together - even if you paid for a room to sleep in and do the same things you’d do at home! Ha! Safe travels!

I didn’t know Eastern Washington had geography like that! Wow, another place I have to see before I die. The list is impossible of course.

Gorgeous! Um…hiding from the heat? I heard you guys had a blizzard on Mt. Rainier last weekend? Did I get the dates wrong? It’s hard to believe how different the weather can be on each side of that state, but I remember it from when I lived there..bizaare..
