There was one tiny bit of excitement while riding today. The nice, shiny new road from Neah Bay to the Cape Flattery trail head has one corner that for some reason is coated with sand and gravel. This is a very bad combination for a motorcycle! This short clip demonstrates just how interesting taking a corner when there is no traction can be. Well, technically it could be more interesting but that would involve crashing and I try to avoid that! This was exciting enough, trust me!

What a gorgeous view that route is, canopied with the trees, but seriously, I have freaked out on a moped, so the best I probably can ever do as far as getting on a motorcycle is watching that clip!
I think I’d have wet my pants! The scenery there is gorgeous! I hope if I get back over that way again next year I remember to take some time to do some serious road tripping out that way. Beautiful!
